Maseru arrived as a 9 week-old puppy 'with a bang'. He is personality plus. He is highly intelligent, perhaps too clever for his own good. He loves to run and his favourite game is to be chased by the 3 girls, with them all piling on top of him.

Very unusual for Basenji he loves to play fetch with his favourite 'yellow ball'...which, incidentally, he 'stole' from the neighbourhood kids who climbed the fence to play with him when he was a puppy.

There are times when you do need to chase him to get the ball back.

He is one of the happiest dogs we know. He loves people and gives a "baroo" to those he knows or when we get home from work. He is a delight to own.

He is a well-constructed dog, with great muscle tone and a stunning, very flashy tri-coloured coat. He is very “showy” in the ring - knowing exactly what he is in there to do. He is a dog that is very happy with himself.

Described by one judge, as having "all the hallmarks of a good Basenji";

Maseru is a dog that will always 'catch your eye'.
